Micromagnetics of magnetic chemical modulations in soft-magnetic cylindrical nanowires

We analyze the micromagnetics of short longitudinal modulations a high-magnetization material in cylindrical nanowires made soft-magnetic lower magnetization such as permalloy, combining magnetic microscopy, analytical modeling, and micromagnetic simulations. The mismatch induces curling around axis modulations, an attempt to screen interfacial charges. angle increases with modulation length, until plateau is reached nearly full charge screening for specific length scale~$\Delta_\mathrm{mod}$, larger than dipolar exchange any two materials. circulation can be switched by Oersted field arising from current typical magnitude $10^{12} A/m^{2}$ diameter $\sim$100 nm, reaching maximum $\Delta_\mathrm{mod}$.
